A fun and delicious way to enjoy Japanese flavors. This recipe is perfect for the whole family and allows you to create your own favorite sushi.

Serving Size: 4 servings

Ingredients:

- 2 cups sushi rice
- 3 cups water
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 nori sheets
- 1 avocado
- 1 cucumber
- 200 g fresh salmon or tuna
- Soy sauce for serving
- Wasabi and pickled ginger for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice with water in a pot until tender (about 20 minutes).
2. In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Gently heat the mixture until the sugar and salt dissolve.
3. Pour the vinegar mixture over the cooked rice and stir gently. Allow the rice to cool to room temperature.
4. Slice the avocado, cucumber, and salmon into thin strips.
5. Place a nori sheet on a bamboo mat. Spread rice evenly over the nori, leaving about 2 cm at the top edge.
6. Add the fillings (avocado, cucumber, salmon) on top of the rice.
7. Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat. Cut the rolls into 2-3 cm thick pieces.
8. Serve the sushi with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger.
