Crisp, refreshing, and colorful, this Eastern Salad combines crunchy lettuce, nutritious sprouts, and juicy tomatoes. It’s a perfect side dish or a light main course! Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 head of lettuce (e.g., iceberg or romaine)- 200 g tomatoes
- 100 g sprouts (e.g., mung bean or alfalfa sprouts)
- 1 cucumber
- 1/2 red onion
- 1/4 dl olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh coriander or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Wash and dry the lettuce, then tear it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.2. Dice the tomatoes and cucumber, and add them to the salad.
3. Finely chop the red onion and add it to the salad.
4. Add the sprouts to the salad.
5. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently.
6. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
