A delicious and tangy apple chutney perfect for pairing with grilled meats or cheese.
Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients:

- 4 large apples (such as Granny Smith)
- 1 onion
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup vinegar (such as apple cider vinegar)
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water

Instructions:

1. Peel and chop the apples and onion.
2. In a saucepan, combine the apples, onion, brown sugar, vinegar, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, chili powder, salt, and water.
3. Cook the mixture over medium heat for about 30-40 minutes, until the apples are soft and the mixture has thickened.
4. Stir occasionally to prevent the chutney from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
5. Allow the chutney to cool slightly, then transfer it to a clean glass jar.
6. Vacuum seal the chutney using the OBH Nordica Food Sealer as desired.
7. Store the chutney in the refrigerator or freezer. Enjoy it with grilled dishes or cheese!
