Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another minute.
5. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic and chili oil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce.
7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
