Ingredients:
- 812 g beef chuck roast - 2 tbsp oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, diced
- 100 ml red wine
- 500 ml beef broth
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (e.g., thyme and rosemary)
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Brown the beef chuck roast on all sides until it develops a nice color. 2. Add the chopped onion and crushed garlic to the pot. Sauté until the onion is soft.
3. Add the sliced carrots and diced potatoes, mixing well.
4. Pour in the red wine and beef broth. Add bay leaves and season with salt and pepper.
5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and cover. Allow it to simmer on low heat for about 2-2.5 hours until the meat is tender.
6. Remove the bay leaves before serving. Serve warm with fresh herbs.
