A delicious mushroom sauce that combines the flavors of the forest with a creamy texture, perfect as an accompaniment to pasta or steak. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g fresh mushrooms (e.g., button mushrooms or chanterelles)
- 1 dl vegetables (e.g., bell pepper, onion, and carrot)
- 2 dl cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 dl huru-ukko (e.g., spicy sausage or any protein of your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Clean and slice the mushrooms. Peel and dice the vegetables into small cubes.
2. Heat the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and vegetables, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until soft.
3. Add the huru-ukko to the pan and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
4. Pour the cream into the pan and mix well. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes until thickened.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
