A delicious Finnish dish, Rullasyltty, or pork roll, is easy to prepare and offers a delightful taste experience, perfect for end-of-year celebrations!

Serving Size: 4-6

Ingredients:

- 500 g pork belly
- 2 dl water
- 1 dl salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp paprika powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 dl fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or thyme)
- 1 dl dried fruits (e.g., apricots or prunes)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 dl mustard (for serving)

Instructions:

1. Slice the pork belly into thin pieces and place them on a flat surface.
2. In a bowl, mix water, salt, black pepper, paprika powder, and garlic powder. Pour the marinade over the pork slices and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
3. After marinating, remove the pork slices from the marinade and drain any excess liquid.
4. Arrange the pork slices next to each other so that they slightly overlap.
5. Sprinkle the fresh herbs and dried fruits over the pork slices.
6. Roll the pork slices tightly into a roll and secure with string or toothpicks.
7. Roast the roll in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 1 hour or until it is cooked through and beautifully golden brown.
8. Allow the roll to rest for a moment before slicing. Serve with mustard.
