A simple and delicious Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Add the red pepper flakes to the pan and stir for about 30 seconds.
5. Once the spaghetti is done, reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
7. Season with salt to taste.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
