Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g. penne or fusilli)
- 400 g chicken breast fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 200 ml cream
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. Drain the pasta and reserve a little cooking water.
2. Cut the chicken breast into strips. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the chicken strips to the skillet and cook until they are cooked through and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Add the chopped onion and crushed garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent.
5. Pour the cream into the skillet and stir well. Add the Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and basil. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little reserved cooking water.
7. Serve the pasta with fresh basil on top and enjoy!
