Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until golden, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in red pepper flakes and cook for an additional minute.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time if the mixture seems dry.
7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese, if desired.
8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
