Hauki (pike) is a versatile and delicious fish that is perfect for a weekday meal. In this recipe, we prepare tasty pike patties served with new potatoes and a rich butter onion sauce. This dish is easy to make and loved by the whole family!
Ingredients:
- 700 g pike fillets- 1 dl breadcrumbs
- 1 dl milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 dl chopped parsley
- 4 tbsp butter
- 500 g new potatoes
- 1 onion
Instructions:
1. Peel and boil the new potatoes in salted water for about 15-20 minutes, until tender.2. Cut the pike fillets into small pieces and place them in a blender. Add milk, egg, salt, pepper, and parsley. Blend until smooth.
3. Shape the fish mixture into patties and coat them in breadcrumbs.
4. Heat butter in a large frying pan. Fry the pike patties on both sides until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
5. Prepare the butter onion sauce: Sauté the chopped onion in butter, then add the remaining butter and mix.
6. Serve the pike patties with boiled new potatoes and butter onion sauce.
