Description: Delicious pike patties served with a creamy egg sauce.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 600 g pike fillets
- 1 dl heavy cream
- 2 eggs
- Juice of half a lemon
- 4 tablespoons chopped dill
- White pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- Butter for frying
Egg Sauce:
- 2 boiled eggs (crumbled)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 dl skim milk
- 2 tablespoons chopped dill
- Salt and white pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Cut the pike fillets into pieces and blend them in a food processor until you achieve a coarse paste.
2. In a bowl, mix the pike paste with cream, lightly beaten eggs, lemon juice, dill, and seasoning.
3. Heat butter in a skillet until it starts to sizzle.
4. Form the mixture into patties and fry them over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
5. Sauté the chopped onion in butter in a saucepan until translucent.
6. Add the flour to the onions and cook for 2 minutes.
7. Gradually add the milk while stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
8. Stir in the crumbled eggs, dill, and seasonings into the sauce.
9. Serve the pike patties with the egg sauce and mashed potatoes.
