Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
- 2 chicken breasts (approx. 400 g)
- 200 ml cream
- 100 ml chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
2. Chop the onion and garlic cloves.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
4. Slice the chicken breasts and add to the pan. Cook until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
5. Pour in the cream and chicken or vegetable broth. Stir well and let simmer for a few minutes.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the pan and mix all ingredients together. If the mixture is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water.
7. Season with salt and pepper. Finally, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
