A delicious vegan alternative to halloumi, easy to prepare by marinating and grilling or frying. Perfect addition to summer salads!
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings

Ingredients:

- 400 g firm tofu
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp dried mint
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tbsp miso paste (or salt to taste)
- Black pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Choose firm tofu and press out excess moisture. Cut the tofu into slices or cubes.
2. Prepare the marinade by mixing olive oil, lemon juice, dried mint, nutritional yeast, and miso paste in a bowl. Add black pepper to taste.
3. Place the tofu pieces in the marinade and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes. You can also let them marinate longer in the refrigerator.
4. Heat a grill or frying pan over medium heat. Grill or fry the tofu for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the surface is beautifully golden brown and crisp.
5. Serve the tofu halloumi warm, for example, on top of a salad or with bread.
