Ingredients:
- 400 g white fish (e.g., cod or perch) - 1 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 dl corn flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 dl sparkling water
- 4 steamed buns
- 1 dl mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Fresh cilantro
- Lettuce (e.g., iceberg or arugula)
- Chili (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the batter by mixing the all-purpose flour, corn flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. 2. Add the sparkling water to the batter and mix until smooth.
3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
4. Cut the fish into pieces and dip them into the batter.
5. Fry the fish pieces in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy (about 3-4 minutes per side).
6. Meanwhile, prepare the mayonnaise by mixing the mayonnaise and lemon juice in a bowl.
7. Warm the steamed buns in a steamer or microwave.
8. Assemble the servings: place lettuce, crispy fish, and mayonnaise inside each steamed bun. You can also add fresh cilantro and chili to taste.
