A delicious and hearty dish that combines the flavors of meat, sausages, and fresh vegetables, perfect for warming up on cold evenings. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 ml red wine - 1 tsp herb mix, such as Provence herbs
- 200 g button mushrooms
- 200 g grilled Balkan sausage
- Cracked black pepper to taste
- 300 g carrots
- 350 g beef
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 350 g pork
- 200 g onion
- 150 g red bell pepper
- 400 g chili tomato puree
- Salt to taste
- 300 ml water
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, brown the beef and pork, cut into pieces, in a splash of oil. 2. Add chopped onion and diced red bell pepper, sautéing until the onion is soft.
3. Stir in sliced mushrooms and carrots, continuing to sauté for a few more minutes.
4. Add cracked black pepper, paprika powder, and herb mix. Mix well.
5. Incorporate the sliced grilled Balkan sausage into the pot.
6. Pour in the red wine, chili tomato puree, and water. Season with salt.
7. Let the stew simmer over low heat for about 30-40 minutes, until the meat is tender and the flavors meld together.
8. Serve hot with fresh bread or rice.
