Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
- 2 chicken breast fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 200 ml cream
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions. Drain and reserve a little pasta water.
2. Meanwhile, slice the chicken breast fillets into strips. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
3. Cook the chicken pieces in the skillet until golden brown and cooked through. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
4. Pour the cream into the skillet and mix well. Let it simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water.
6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
7. Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
