A delicious croissant bread pudding that's the perfect sweet treat to celebrate the start of the holidays. This soft and rich pudding is an excellent way to use up stale croissants. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 4-5 stale croissants- 1 ¾ cups milk
- ¾ cup cream
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup raisins (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).2. Cut the croissants into small pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
3. In a bowl, combine the milk, cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
4. Pour the milk mixture over the croissant pieces and let it sit for about 15 minutes to allow the croissants to soak up the liquid.
5. Add raisins and cinnamon to the mixture, if using.
6. Bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is beautifully golden brown.
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the pudding warm or at room temperature.
