Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or spaghetti) - 200 ml cream
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 200 g chicken strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve some pasta water. 2. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add the onion and garlic. Sauté until they are soft.
4. Add the chicken strips to the pan and cook until they are done.
5. Pour the cream into the pan and mix well. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese has melted into the sauce.
6. Season with salt and pepper. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a bit of reserved pasta water.
7. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce and let it warm through for a moment.
8. Serve with fresh basil on top.
