Classic Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and sauté for an additional minute.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, adding a splash of the reserved pasta water to help combine.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss everything together until the spaghetti is well coated with the garlic oil mixture.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
