Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet and mix well to coat the pasta in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water as needed.
5. Season with salt and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately, with grated Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
