Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red chili flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix in chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
