Ingredients:
- Spaghetti (200g)
- Olive oil (4 tablespoons)
- Garlic (4 cloves, thinly sliced)
- Red pepper flakes (1 teaspoon)
- Fresh parsley (a handful, chopped)
- Salt (to taste)
- Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing it in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
4. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt to taste.
5. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
