A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil water in a large pot and add a pinch of salt. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden, being careful not to burn it.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another minute.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If it seems dry, add a little of the reserved pasta water.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
