A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, about 1-2 minutes. Do not burn the garlic.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds to release their flavor.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, adding a bit of the reserved pasta water to help coat the pasta. Mix well to ensure the spaghetti is evenly coated with the garlic oil.
5. Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
