A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and parsley.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Fresh parsley, chopped (about 2 tablespoons)
- Salt, to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, cooking until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden (about 2-3 minutes).
4. Once the spaghetti is done, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil, tossing to combine.
6. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.
7. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt to taste.
8. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
