A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Serves 4.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
