Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce. Mix well to coat the pasta with the garlic oil.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
