A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, following package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
4. Season with salt to taste and continue tossing for another minute.
5. Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnishing with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
