Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the pan, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the pasta is well-coated.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix in chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
