Classic Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet and mix well to coat the pasta with the garlic oil.
5. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to create a light sauce.
6. Season with salt to taste and combine well.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
