Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet along with a splash of the reserved pasta water. Toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated in the garlic oil.
5. Season with salt to taste and continue to toss for another minute, adding more pasta water if needed to create a light sauce.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
