Classic Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. 2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Add the red chili flakes to the pan and stir for 30 seconds.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic and oil, tossing to coat.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
8. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
