A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss well to coat. If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.
6. Season with salt to taste and mix in the chopped parsley.
7. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
