A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the pan, sautéing until the garlic is golden and fragrant (about 2-3 minutes). Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
6. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
7. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
