Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
