A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing it in the olive oil and garlic mixture. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of reserved pasta water.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
