A quick and simple Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the spaghetti is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until it turns golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
5. Once the spaghetti is ready, reserve a cup of the pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss well to coat the spaghetti in the oil.
7. If needed, add a little reserved pasta water to help the sauce adhere to the pasta.
8. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
9. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
