A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, following package instructions.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet; sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
6. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
7. Serve immediately with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
