A simple yet delicious Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti in the skillet with the garlic oil, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste and stir in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
