Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another minute.
5. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss well to coat the pasta. If needed, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
7. Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
