A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley for garnish.
5. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
