Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil, adding some reserved pasta water to create a sauce. Mix well to coat the pasta.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley.
6. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
