Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and cook until it turns golden brown, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for an additional minute.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
6. Season with salt to taste.
7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
