A simple yet delicious Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic and oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
