Recipe:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta. 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the red chili flakes and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water. Toss well to combine.
5. Season with salt to taste and cook for another minute to allow the flavors to meld.
6. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
