A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until the garlic turns golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
5. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
