Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until golden and fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water. Toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated in the garlic oil.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
