Classic Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the red chili flakes and cook for another 30 seconds, stirring constantly to avoid burning the garlic.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to moisten.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
