A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
